Reggae singer Barrington Levy is promoting his latest single GSOAT (Great Survivor of All Time).
The track is a collaborative effort among Levy’s Black Roses Label, Platinum Camp Records and Controlled Substance Sound Lab, and is expected in stores on March 10.
According to Levy, GSOAT is about what it means to be unrelenting in the face of adversity.
“We all have faced some difficult times in our lives. This song is for those people who have not crumbled under defeat; this song celebrates those who have the strength to carry on and be strong,” he said.
An accompanying video is set to be released at the end of this month. Shot on location in Half-Way-Tree and Arnett Gardens in the Corporate Area, it will feature cameo appearances of renowned personalities including Sly and Robbie, Jah Screw, and George Phang.
Levy, whose career took off in the 1970’s, has one of the strongest catalogs in dancehall/reggae. His numerous hits include Under Mi Sensi, Black Roses, My Woman, Looking My Love, on The Telephone, and Work.
