DJ ZUMJAY SIGNS DISTRIBUTION DEAL WITH VPAL MUSIC!

 Zumjay —

DANCEHALL deejay Zumjay has secured an international distribution deal with US-based VPAL Music for his Capcha Music label.
The three-year deal was inked recently.
“The deal gives me a chance to have an international platform for my music. VP Records are the leaders in reggae and dancehall sales, and they have great resources when it comes to online distribution and marketing worldwide. they have the long arm to reach into markets I could not otherwise have access to,” Zumjay told the Jamaica Observer yesterday.
“Anything that I put out on my label, they will distribute for me,” he continued.
The deejay also released a video for Shell Shock on the Capcha Music label. The song, a collaboration with Alozade, was released on April 14. It is available on all online music platforms.
“Shell Shock is an authentic dancehall song. we ah shell the place like a peanut, just a feel-good vibe. We also did a video directed by Dameon Gayle that was shot in Kingston, Jamaica, and which was released last weekend. The response has been phenomenal so far, and we will be amping up the promotion in several markets all over the world,” he said.

The deejay will be coming to Jamaica later this month to do street promotions and a media junket to promote the song. Zumjay says he wants to make a positive contribution to dancehall music and inspire young people from the ghetto to pursue their dreams.
“I love music, that is my first love. I do it for the love, not for the money; I don’t depend on it for survival. With my 9 to 5 job, I can work at my own pace and do music at a constant pace, and choose the right time to put out my songs,” he said.
Now working with the US Federal government, Zumjay grew up in Waterhouse and attended Kingston College then Hydel High.
