GEORGE NOOKS TO HONOR ALL OVERSEAS GIGS!

 George Nooks —

Reggae singer George Nooks says his overseas travel engagements will not be affected by his recent court case.

“The case has not affected my ability to travel overseas. So I want to reassure my fans that I will honour all of my commitments over the next couple of months. My legal team is putting things in place to ensure that my live performances in overseas markets will not be affected by this case,” said Nooks.

“I have tentative dates in Europe and other overseas locations in the summer,” he continued.

Locally, he is booked for a Father’s Day show in Salem, St Ann, on Sunday, June 18. Others include an Emancipation Day show on August 1 in Montego Bay, St James; a show in Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland on August 5; as well as shows in Ocho Rios, St Ann, on August 6; and another in St Thomas on August 7.

“The bookings are coming in, so I want to thank the promoters for standing by George Nooks,” he continued.

On June 30, Nooks will be releasing a pair of songs on iTunes on his own label, Total Records, via Zojak World wide. One is a cover of gospel favourite I Must Tell Jesus while the other is No Bother Worry. The latter addresses the legal challenges he has been facing.

His challenges refer to his May 5 arrest and being charged with possession of cocaine under the Dangerous Drugs Act.

He is scheduled for court on June 28.

Nooks is known for songs including Tribal War, God is Standing By, and Ride Out Your Storm.
