MAJOR LAZER EARNS FIRST NUMBER ON TITLE ON BILLBOARD CHART!

Electronic Dance Music band Major Lazer earns its first number one title on the Billboard Reggae album chart with the EP Know No Better .

The set moved up from three to poll position.

The six-track project features collaborations with Sean Paul, Busy Signal, Machel Montano, and Konshens, among others. It opened at number 91 on the Billboard 200 and number three on the Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart.

There are two new entries to the top 15 portion of this week’s chart. At number 14 is the reissued Exodus album by Bob Marley & the Wailers. This commemorative boxed set titled Exodus: The Movement Continues…Fortieth Anniversary was released on June 2.

New at number nine is the second charting entry so far this year for the Skatalites, titled Independence Ska and the Far East Sound, Original Ska, Sounds from the Skatalites 1963-1965. In April, the Skatalites reached number eight with Foundation Ska, their first charting title since 1998’s number 13-peaking Ball of Fire.

Busy Signal

Back on this week’s chart, Change by Mystic Roots Band rises from seven to two. This is the former chart-topper’s fourth week on the chart.

Last week’s number one title Good Life by Collie Buddz slips down to number three, while Falling Into Place by Rebelution remains at number four.

Jumping back in the chart at number five is When God Speaks by Minister Marion Hall, formerly Lady Saw; while the number six spot is held by Lost in Paradise by Common Kings.

Last week’s number 13 title Live at Red Rocks by Rebelution has jumped up to number seven, while the number three peaking Avrakedabra by Morgan Heritage tumbles to number eight.

Wash House Ting by J Boog jumps back onto the chart at number 10, while Get Soca 2017 falls from nine to 11.

Losing steam is Kash’d Out by The Hookup, which flip flops from number two to number 12; while Stephen Marley’s Revelation Part II: The Fruit of Life is at number 13.

Ziggy Marley’s self-titled set remains firm at number 15.
