JAMAICAN DEEJAY I-OCTANE OWNS UP TO DJ AMBER’S CHILD!

After five years of denying paternity, dancehall artist I-Octane has now acknowledged that he is the father of DJ Amber’s daughter.

I-Octane on Thursday posted a photo of the child on his Instagram page and with the caption: “When your babies are champions Maliha Muir/Ashiek Muir.” Hanging around the neck of the child, who DJ Amber said is their daughter, Maliah Muir, were five medals which she won at her recent prep school sports day.

According to DJ Amber, I-Octane is now taking part in regular daddy duties.

“I am satisfied with the outcome, and we have cleared up the paternity issues. He had said I was trying to tarnish his name, but it turned out that I was the one who got tarnished unfairly. He recently confirmed to the public that he is the father, and we are in a good place because he agreed to a settlement that I am satisfied with,” she said.

When THE STAR contacted the artist yesterday, he declined to comment on the matter. His lawyer also declined to speak.

DJ Amber, meanwhile, said I-Octane’s decision to make the post is timely. She said, too, that the matter was settled on June 6 in the Supreme Court.

“It’s a good look for him, especially since Father’s Day is around the corner. This could have been done a long time ago, but nothing happens before time. He has access to visits, and he has already started to play his role. As a matter of fact, he has been visiting since 2012 until now. We have also had an amicable relationship since 2013. I feel like I was put with this person for my daughter because she makes me so happy,” she said.

“I have never told my daughter anything negative about him, so she feels completely normal and they will have a normal father-daughter relationship. His admission on social media has given me closure in the public space, and I think his post was appropriate. Some people say I should get a public apology, but I have laid the matter to rest. It is up to him if he wants to do that.”
