ROOTS SINGER RICHIE SPICE TO LAUNCH HIS NEW ALBUM, “THE ALBUM”, NEXT MONTH IN KINGSTON!

Seasoned reggae act Richie Spice is now busy in the studio putting the finishing touches to his latest album. Named, The Album, it is slated to be launched in Kingston next month.

With hits such as Grooving My Girl, Brown Skin, Gideon Boot, Youth So Cold as well as other hits under his belt, the unassuming entertainer is hoping to score big with this, his latest project.

“Fans can expect a more advanced Richie Spice with this new project. Musically, this album is well put together and the professionalism is outstanding,” the singer, whose given name is Richell Bonner, offered.

When the Jamaica Observer West caught up with the talented singer in western Jamaica recently, he noted that he is seriously considering staging a second launch for the 14-track album in western Jamaica.

Explaining that each song on the album represents a different topic, he said that each compilation is important to him and his fans.

Following the launch, the singer said he plans on embarking on a two-month tour of Europe where he will be promoting The Album, which is his seventh compilation. He also wants to follow up with a gig in Africa, where he enjoys a large fan base.

Richie Spice, who disclosed that veterans in the industry such as the late Bob Marley, Winston Rodney, Cocoa Tea and Beres Hammond form the base of his inspiration, said he is satisfied with where his career is at the moment.

“I feel very grateful. It took a long time to reach here, but good things always take long to come. I am still working towards greater achievement,” he said.

“Give thanks to all my fans who have supported me over the years. Keep on listening to good music,”

Noting that western Jamaica is like his second home, the Earth a Run Red singer, said that he has family members in Westmoreland.

“I just love performing in western Jamaica; the fans show a special kind of love for my music. I get the good herbs down here to smoke as well,” Richie Spice quipped as he gave words of advice for the nation.

“People must love each other; be your brothers and sisters keeper. And, don’t take your neighbor’s wife. Love Jah and live,” he shared.
