DAMIAN MARLEY’S “STONY HILL” REMAINS ON TOP OF THE BILLBOARD REGGAE ALBUM CHART!

Damian “Junior Gong” Marley spends a second week at the Billboard Reggae album chart’s top with his latest effort Stony Hill.

This week’s chart, dated August 19, reflects two new entries in the top-15 section. They are The Treasure Isle Story: The Soul of Jamaica (at number 12) and True Emotions Riddim (number 13).

Released on July 28 via Trojan Records in the United Kingdom, The Treasure Isle Story: Soul of Jamaica is a four-CD boxed set. Disc one is sub-titled Feel So Fine: The Mento, Shuffle and Ska Years. Disc two is The Tide is High – The Rocksteady Years; Disc three Wake the Town- the Reggae Years; and Disc four From the Vaults.

The True Emotions rhythm, produced by Troyton Music, features 15 tracks. The set has songs from acts including Alaine, Christopher Martin, Bugle, Beres Hammond, Mavado, Jahmiel, Deep Jahi, Tarrus Riley, Charly Black, I Octane, Ikaya and Lutan Fyah.

Former chart-topper Chronology, by Chronixx, moves up to number two, while Know No Better (EP) by Major Lazer inches up to three.

Second week @ No.1

Falling into Place by Rebelution holds firm at number four, while Reggae Gold 2K17 falls from its number two debut last week to five. Good Life by Collie Buddz stays put at six.

Common King’s Lost in Paradise rises from 12 to seven, while Wandering Soul by HIRIE is firm at its eight spot which it re-entered the chart last week.

Rebelution’s Live at Red Rocks moves up to nine, while Soca Gold 2017 tumbles from five to 10.

Back on the chart at 11 is Wash House Ting, a former chart-topper from J Boog, while at number 14 is another re-entry, Soul Jazz Records Presents: Studio One Rocksteady, Volume 2.

The 15th spot is held by Stephen Marley’s Revelation Part II: The Fruit of Life.

Elsewhere on other Billboard charts, Sean Paul earns another entry on the Hot 100, as featured act on the remix of Enrique Iglesias’ Subeme La Radio, which also features Descemer Bueno, Zim and Lennon. The track moves from 92 to 91.
