SLAIN FORMER CALIFORNIA TEACHER WAS VICTIM OF LOTTERY SCAM, ACCORDING TO THE MONTEGO BAY POLICE!

BY HORACE HINES—-

Sixty-eight-year-old Heidi-Ann Muth, the Californian woman who was murdered in St James last week, was a victim of a lottery scam four years ago.

In fact, the police are theorizing that the American woman’s death might have a direct link to the scam.

“We are following some leads and it is strongly suspected that it is as a result of her being a victim of lottery scamming sometime ago,” a senior police officer close to the investigation told the Jamaica Observer.

The Observer has also learnt that Muth was the target of the lottery scam on several occasions, dating as far back as 2013.

Players in the ruse, which has been attributed to a large number of murders, have a propensity to target elderly American citizens.

In the meantime, reports from the police are that residents made the gruesome discovery of Muth’s body about 9:30 two Sundays ago on a dirt track in the Hatfield Meadows section of Ironshore.

Upon the arrival of the police, Muth was found lying facedown with multiple stab wounds to her body.

The American was subsequently taken to Cornwall Regional Hospital where doctors pronounced her dead.

At the time, when contacted, commander of the St James Police Division Senior Superintendent Marlon Nesbeth revealed that investigators were still working assiduously to determine the purpose of Muth’s visit to the country.

The Observer has subsequently learnt that, at the time of her death, the American woman was booked into one of the Spanish hotel chains in St James.
