The 20-year-old student of the University of the West Indies, who was named winner of the recent live final of Pulse’s Caribbean Model Search, has been signed to Models 1 in London and Women & Supreme in New York.

Pulse chairman Kingsley Cooper said Griffith is a rare find, and the response from the international agencies which immediately snapped her up is testament to this.

“She is extraordinarily beautiful and because of this, she received rave reviews from the agencies that were here. Just the response from these leading agencies is an indication of her potential and they both signed her. Models 1 out of London is the former home of Pulse stars such as Nadine Willis and Jaunel McKenzie, so that gives you an indication of the high-calibre agency that we are dealing with here. Currently she is being prepared for the international markets and could hit the early shows in 2018,” Cooper said.

He added that Models 1 was represented here in Jamaica by Robyn Bright, while Marissa Surmenkow was in spot for Women & Supreme in New York.

“Both agents reported that, upon their return to London and New York, their respective boards had been very pleased with their selection of the winner and they were all eager to get Zoe’s international career up and running,” said Cooper.

The 5’11” Griffith won the CMS title from a field of highly competitive contenders who vied for the top title in the boutique show held at Villa Ronai in St Andrew in early September. The model hopefuls wore designs from the collections by drennaLUNA, Lee Ann Designz, The Mushroom, Nigel Ramsay and Zaid. Hair and make- up was by Racquel Lee of Flawless Finish.

There were also two other categories of competition — Petite and Male Face. The top tier Fashion, Petite and Male contestants will have a place in the CMS Reality TV show which will be filmed later this year.

The Pulse Model Search — which began in 1980 — has produced the Caribbean’s leading names in modeling over its illustrious history, including-Angela Neil, Kimberley Mais, Hector Lincoln, Romae Gordon, Althea Laing, Nikki Vassell, Parissa Fitz Henley, Carla Campbell, Sunna Gottshalk, Nell Robinson, Gaye McDonald, and Oraine Barrett.
