DESPITE NUMEROUS OFFERS, “TRENCH TOWN HERO” TREMAYNE BROWN, IS STILL JOBLESS AND DESPAIR, HIS FATHER SAYS!

Despite being promised numerous jobs and other rewards after he jumped into a gully to rescue 12-year-old Renaldo Reynolds, who was being swept away by raging flood water, Tremayne Brown still spends his days staring into space in his community of Trench Town, according to his father, Stanford Brown.

“All these promise dem promise the young youth, dem nah give him nothing. I think that it is rude and out of order because dem come and dem use him and don’t give him nothing,” Stanford Brown told THE WEEKEND STAR.

He said that he was happy to see his son being recognized for his heroic act when he was given the Badge of Honor for Gallantry at the National Honors and Awards ceremony on Heroes’ Day, but now he needs a job.

Among the offers that Tremayne received was employment at Lasco, however, his father said the company only wants him to work for two days of the week.

“All Lasco a offer him job fa is two day inna di week. That is not good enough for him,” the upset father said.

GETS FRUSTRATED

He said that his son seems as if he is not keen on working for two days as he enjoys working and gets annoyed by the situation when he sits down and isn’t working.

However, in a press release, Lasco noted that Tremayne rejected two jobs in the promotions department at Lasco. The company said that he was given the option to work as a promoter or as an inventory clerk on a contract basis with a fixed salary and flexible work hours.

“Lasco noted that at no point was the offer rescinded nor was a restriction placed on additional non-competitive employment,” the press release said.

When THE WEEKEND STAR contacted Lasco, they indicated that they did not wish to comment further on the matter.

Still, Standford Brown insists that his son would like a full-time job.

“He is young, growing up person, so him want fi be an independent person cause him love work, enuh. One thing wid him, him love fi work, him waan fi work.”
