ATLANTA-BASED REGGAE ARTIST SURVIVOR SLIM, IS CLEARED OF ACCUSATION OF RECKLESS CONDUCT!

A reggae artist is cleared of accusations he left his two children in an SUV outside a hotel during a party earlier this year.

A judge found “Survivor Slim,” whose real name is Ricardo Raffington, not guilty of reckless conduct charges Thursday, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Raffington was at the Extended Stay on the 900 block of Crestline Parkway on June 29 when Sandy Springs police found the children in the vehicle as music blared from the speakers, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution previously reported.

The children apologized for the loud music and told the officer they were waiting for their father to come down. Police eventually ran into Raffington who told them he’d gone to a hotel room to get his wallet and planned to return to his car within five minutes.

Officers searched the room, where they found several adults drinking alcohol and smelled a distinct marijuana odor, according to the police report. Raffington told police he was “just looking to relax a bit after working hard” when they cited him.

Sandy Springs city solicitor Dan Lee told Channel 2 while he was unable to prove Raffington was smoking, he believes the music artist should’ve been jailed for 30 days for leaving his kids in the car.

Raffington told Channel 2 he was unfairly targeted because of how he looks.
