UPDATE: BROADCAST JOURNALIST IAN BOYNE IS OUT OF INTENSIVE CARE!

Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Jamaica Information Service (JIS) Ian Boyne is now out of the Intensive Care Unit of the University Hospital of the West Indies and is reportedly recuperating well in the Tony Thwaites Wing.

Boyne was rushed to the hospital on Saturday, after falling ill.

The JIS says Boyne was updated on the concern expressed by many Jamaicans and he was deeply touched.

The veteran journalist also sought to assure he is doing well and will soon be back on the job.
