Legendary rocksteady trio, The Melodians, score their first entry on the Billboard Reggae Album chart with The Return (Ska, Rocksteady, Reggae)which debuts at number 19.

Hailed as one of Jamaica’s great vocal groups, The Melodians cut a series of classic songs during the late 1960’s and early 1970’s. The classic line-up consisted of Brent Dowe, Tony Brevett and Trevor McNaughton.

Dowe and Brevett have died, but McNaughton currently leads a new version that also includes Taurus Alphanso and Winston Dias. They cover some of the group’s biggest hits on ‘Return’, including Little Nut Tree, Sweet Sensation, and You Don’t Need Me.
