DJ/RECORD PRODUCER DELLY RANX, IS TRULY ONE OF DANCEHALL’S UNSANG HEROES!

Delly Ranx is without a doubt one of the most versatile artistes in dancehall music.

After over two decades of personal success and building up other key contributors to the local music industry, it is not an overstatement to recognize Delly Ranx as an icon. 

Two of his greatest assets are his keen eye for talent and his knack for helping others in the music industry.

Over the years he has helped many producers advance their careers including (removed Jordan’s name) Chimney Records,Stephen Di Genius, Shynes Production (Black Widow Riddim and Taranchyla Riddim), and Mo Music Productions (Headache Riddim and Hurricane Riddim) to name a few.

“I’m always willing to lend a helping hand to those who need it. For example, when I first met Jordan and Izzle I recognized their talent so I linked them with the right people to take their label to another level.  In fact, I was the one who named their record label Chimney Records,” said Delly Ranx.

The enterprising Deejay whose ever-growing catalog of hits includes dancehall anthems such as Headache featuring Elephant Man, What A Gyal, Pelpa and Gal Nuh More Than You, is not daunted by the lack of recognition from those he has helped.

 “A lot of times you do things to make others great and get no recognition or reward, but that’s just the way it goes. It’s all a part of my contribution to the music.  My work in dancehall music speaks for itself; I’m a humble person mi nuh run dung hype or spotlight.”

Delly Ranx is currently promoting a hot dancehall rhythm project called the Cotton Swab rhythm.

The project which was released last November features songs from several popular dancehall artistes including Delly Ranx, Pop Caan, I Octane, Vershon, Bugle, Dre Island and Da’Ville.

“This project is doing well; it’s one of the most popular rhythms out right now, it’s getting a lot of support.”

He recently released his fifth studio album, Weed Market. The eleven track album which features songs that pay homage to Marijuana was released by his Pure Music Production label on the 2nd of February. The newly dubbed “Weed Boss” just completed a tour of Northern California, the foundation for cannabis culture and farming in the United States. 

Delly Ranx has released four other studio albums: Break Free (2006), Good Profile (2009), The Next Chapter (2012) and Sweet Reggae (2014) and two EPs: Chapter 3 (2014) and Loyalty (2016).

His career as a music producer is equally prolific as he has produced several famous dancehall rhythm projects. Most notable among them is the Red Bull & Guinness rhythm which propelled Mavado on to the Billboards Charts in 2007 with the hit single Wa Dem A Do.

Delly Ranx also produced a song titled Ganja Breed featuring Chico on Sean Paul’s Grammy winning album, Dutty Rock.
