SNOW HAS PUT A NEW SPIN ON HIS MEGA HIT “INFORMER!”

 Snow—

Canadian dancehall artiste Snow continues to observe the 25th anniversary of the release of his debut single Informer.

The artiste, whose real name is Darrin Kenneth O’Brien, has dropped the official music video for Informer 2018. This video is for the reworked version of his chart-topping single from 1993. The new version of Snow’s breakout reggae single is currently available on all digital music retailers and streaming platforms.

According to reports, Snow teamed up with Roton Music and flew to Bucharest for several days, Romania for filming in order to bring the music video to fruition. The video is directed for Radikal Records by acclaimed Romanian music video director Bogdan Pau of Next Generation Media Creative.

In the Informer 2018 video, Snow appears at a nightclub with a surprise performance, as the club-goers vibe to the beat of his newly reworked track.

In Jamaica, Informer was a huge hit. However, Snow’s popularity reached a fever pitch when he teamed with songbird Nadine Sutherland for Anything f or You. The all-star remix of that hit featured Buju Banton, Beenie Man, Terrror Fabulous, Louie Culture and Kulcha Knox, would take him even higher as a favorite with locals.

Informer was written by Snow, MC Shan, and Edmond Leary, and was the lead single from his debut album, 12 Inches of Snow, which sold over eight million records worldwide and was certified RIAA Platinum in the United States and CRIA Triple Platinum in Canada. The classic made US history in the Guinness Book of World Records as the best-selling and the highest-charting reggae single ever. The song’s enduring popularity has continued from 1994, where Snow won a Juno Award for Best Reggae Recording, to 2017, when he received a SOCAN Lifetime Achievement Award.
