JAH CURE’S “THE CURE” RETURNS TO THE TOP OF BILLBOARD REGGAE CHART!

The VP Records set, which was released last July, sold an additional 434 copies over the past week, bringing its total to 17,442 copies. The Cure sold 82 copies the previous week, and its surge reflects a more than 300 per cent increase. While critics hail him as one of the genre’s more creative performers, he has yet to make the elite rank locally. However, the Dunkirk-reared artist continues to make strides internationally. The Blacker the Berry, is his latest song with Grammy-winning American rapper Kendrick Lamar. Recorded at Big Yard Studios in Kingston and released on February 9, the song is from Lamar’s Pimp Da Butterfly, the hottest album on the market. The Blacker the Berry entered the United Kingdom’s national chart two weeks ago at number 83. However, that number is about to increase as Assassin, also known as Agent Sasco, gets ready to release his latest studio album. When The Gleaner caught up with the deejay following his performance at the Best of the Best concert in Miami recently, he revealed that an album is in the works and could be released later this year or early next year.
