REGGAE SONGSTRESS DEJAH, RELEASES COVER-VERSION OF 80’S HIT “TELEPHONE LOVE!”

 Denette Lewis was born on May 3 in Kingston Jamaica. Originated from humble beginnings, she spent half of her early childhood days in Clarendon ,where she first started singing at the age of 3 within the church settings. THE DOCUMENTARY “JOURNEY TO JAH” PREMIERES AT THE ZURICH FILM FESTIVAL!

  By Cecelia Campbell-Livingston–  Alborosie & Gentleman— TWO European reggae singers who have made a mark in Jamaica are the subject of a documentary entitled Journey To Jah, which premiered September 3 at the Zurich Film Festival. According to the film’s Facebook page, it took seven years to complete. Journey To Jah tracks the rise of Italian singer Alborosie and German singer Gentleman. A German-Swiss production, it is co-directed by Noël Dernesch, Moritz Springer and Marcus Winterbauer. According to the Facebook page, the documentary “is a tale of the seeking and finding of a spiritual home in a foreign culture, one that follows people who are connected by one thing: music”. Richie Stephens and Damian Marley, two Jamaican artists who have worked with Alborosie and Gentleman, are interviewed by the producers. SEAN Paul walked away with the award for Best Reggae Act, Saturday, November 3, at the 17th staging of the Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards. The ceremony was held in Liverpool, England.
