BY TONY LARNER Robin and Duncan lodge claim for damages after sibling set up own group, using famous name.   UB40 stars Earl Falconer, Jimmy Brown, Norman Hassan, Brian Travers and brothers Duncan and Robin Campbell at the Eagle and Tun pub in Digbeth— THE legal battle over the UB40 name reached the High Court today – with Ali Campbell being sued by his own brothers. The former lead singer quit the chart-toppers in 2008, which led to sibling Robin, 61, inviting their brother Duncan to replace him. But legal action began after Ali set up his own UB40 group – featuring Mickey Virtue and co-frontman Astro – which sparked an acrimonious family fall out. BRITISH-BASED REGGAE SINGER C-BLOCK IS RAPIDLY BUILDING HIS OWN NICHE!

  C-Block— BRITISH-BASED Jamaican singer C-Block is set on carving his name on the musical landscape. Defining his style as “reggae stew, seasoned with everything else”, the artiste is currently promoting his latest singles Lose Yourself and Victory (slated to be released today) on the C Block/Caliba label. According to the artist, the timing of his releases were strategic. “The music scene is very much alive in the United Kingdom at this time, with breakthrough artists keeping the standard and gaining support to reach new heights,” he said.
