Barbara Blake-Hannah— AFTER a four-year intermission, the Jamaica International Reggae Film Festival returns February 16-19 at Devon House in St Andrew. Festival Director Barbara Blake Hannah said, “Film is an excellent way to promote Jamaican culture, especially music, and this is a good time to do so, as UNESCO has just declared Kingston a Creative City of Music. So, a sparkling film festival is a good way to illustrate the reason for the city’s designation.” Blake Hannah told the Jamaica Observer that there is currently a call for entries. She said new elements have been added to make the festival more appealing. These include booths promoting reggae-related products such as music, books, craft items and food.
