AFTER YEARS OF “PERSONAL CHALLENGES” VETERAN SINGER GLEN RICKS IS BACK WITH NEW ALBUM!

BY HOWARD CAMPBELL —-  Glen Ricks.— There was a time in Jamaican music when the balladeer reigned and each singer had a distinct sound. One of them was Glen Ricks. The vocalist, whose career has been besieged by “personal challenges”, is set to release Mood For Love, an album produced by Saunjay Kerr. The set has been two years in the making, with initial sessions done at producer Bobby Digital’s Kingston studio. Ricks told the Jamaica Observer that it was Kerr’s idea to record an album of original songs, all covering his favorite topic. “The theme is love throughout…heartbreak, make up. Since I started my career, it’s all about love. It has never been about the bus taking me to the park or things like that,” said Ricks. SINGER JAHMALI PREPARES TO RELEASE NEW SONG/EP IN DECEMBER!

 Jahmali —- Roots artist Jahmali is preparing to get back in the mix during the next six weeks with a new song and EP. The song, Done Deal, is written by Jahmali and produced by Christopher ‘Acoustic Vibes’ Hurst. It is the precursor to an EP of the same name, expected to be released in December. Jahmali told Splash that Done Deal, the EP, is his most diverse work to date. “As wi travel the world wi experience new sounds an’ what people want to hear.
