Williams, now a Deputy Commissioner of Police will take up his new assignment on September 15. “We had felt that DCP Williams was among the likeliest of choices for the position, based on his performance in the Jamaica Constabulary Force, his 30 years of experience as a police officer and his reputation as a team player,” said Opposition Spokesman on National Security Derrick Smith.
