SINGJAY D-MEDZ, TRAVELS DOWN THE STUDIO ONE ROAD FOR NEW RELEASES!

 D-Medz Though admitting he was never a big fan of Studio One music, singjay D-Medz said when he got a “spiritual vibration” to record songs on some of the legendary label’s fabled rhythms, he did not hesitate. He did eight songs on classic beats like the Real Rock, Far East and Answer for From a Boy To a Man, a mix tape scheduled for release soon. “I got this spiritual vibration to do something different an’ also pay homage to the foundation. IT WAS A “MUSICAL TRIBUTE” TO GARNET SILK!

In memory of singer Garnet Silk, it was an entertaining affair. Aaron Silk, younger brother of the late artiste who would have been 49 on April 2, delivered a lively set in tribute to his illustrious sibling who died tragically on December 9, 1994. After performing some of his own material such as The Right Path, Step Out and Fighting Brave, Aaron Silk and his Reel Vybz band rekindled the musical flames Garnet blazed with Mama Africa, Zion in a Vision and Oh Me Oh My. SINGJAY D MEDZ TO PAY TRIBUTE TO PETER TOSH!

 D Medz— SINGJAY D Medz says performing at this year’s Peter Tosh Tribute in Belmont, Westmoreland, is a tribute to one of his musical heroes. “I’ve been listening to him from mi was a youth. Peter Tosh was an artist who mek music that last, which is what I want to do,” said D Medz. The Clarendon-born artist, who lists Mama Africa and Glass House among his favourite Tosh songs, performs Sunday at the Belmont Academy in the ‘Stepping Razor’s’ hometown.
