 Shirley Willis is looking forward to her upcoming performance at the annual CUJ Gosplash Gospel Festival, which is scheduled to take place at Sugarman’s Beach in Hellshire, Portmore on Monday, August 1st.  The veteran Gospel singer was a member of the popular Grace Thrillers Gospel group for three decades. GOSPEL ARTISTS CALL FOR A “NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER” FOR JAMAICA!

By Shereita Grizzle— Papa San— The local gospel fraternity wants the Government of Jamaica to take a stance against the rising crime rate by “actioning” a national day of prayer. The call was made by a few well-known gospel artists at the recently concluded Fun in the Son event held at the National Heroes Park. This is not the first time that a public cry is being made for the heads of the country to action such a day, but the gospel fraternity believes the time is right, given the gruesome killings happening in the island over the last few years. By Leighton Levy— Gospel artist, DJ Nicholas— Gospel entertainer DJ Nicholas is promising a lot of new music and more when he takes the stage at the Credit Union Jamaica Gosplash 2016 set for Sugarman’s Beach in Portmore, St Catherine, on August 1. The gospel artist revealed he is also looking forward to performing with Pastor Deitrick Haddon, a man who opened doors for him in the United States when he was a virtual unknown there. DJ Nicholas and Pastor Haddon first appeared together on the Black Entertainment Network (BET) Celebration of Gospel special that first aired in January this year.
