Produced by Murdaben, Together Forever was released on February 6, Bob Marley’s birth date. It came out five days after the birthday of Dennis Brown. With February also recognized as Reggae Month in Jamaica, Eljai thought it would be appropriate to release his homage. Together Forever combines Bob Marley’s Forever Loving Jah and Dennis Brown’s To The Foundation (Get Myself Together) in one song. It is a testament to the artistes that they were and the crucial catalog of music they gave us, earning them the titles of the King and Crown Prince of Reggae music,” he said. BELIZEAN SINGER ELJAI, IS STEPPING UP HIS REGGAE GAME!

Belizean singer Eljai— Going into the final stretch of 2016, Belizean singer Eljai is stepping-up his live game, promoting his third album and winning new fans. The Los Angeles-based artist’s The Other Side of Eljai was released by Tuff Gong International in July. He is scheduled to perform on the November 25-26 Africa Meets Reggae show in Lagos, Nigeria. That will be followed by dates in the United Kingdom and Europe. “It’s very important (to broaden his base) because when I play my album for people in foreign countries, they gravitate to the music like something very familiar to them. The event, which is dominated by artistes from host country Nigeria, takes place at the National Stadium in Lagos, that country’s previous capital. The line-up includes Nigerian singers Majek Fashek and Victor Essiet and his Mandators band, artists who helped put African reggae on the map.
