 Krysi Webb— IN most of the 10 years she has been in the music business, Krysi Webb has been a backup singer for top dancehall/reggae artists. She is preparing to go out front on her latest project. Webb, 23, is the face of the Juk, a new sound created by musician/producer Diavallan ‘Dia’ Fearon. It debuts in June with two songs by the diminutive singer: I Can’t Live Without You and a cover of Millie Small’s My Boy Lollipop. The songs are also the first releases for Webb, who is from the hilly Newcastle region of St Andrew. JAMAICA’S SUPREME COURT RULES AGAINST DOWNSOUND RECORDING STUDIO’S LOCATION IN RESIDENTIAL AREA!

   Joe Bagdanovich— KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Supreme Court has handed down a judgement giving the owners of the popular Downsound recording studio at 43 St Andrew Park, a property zoned for residential use, to return the premises to its original use by September 16. The decision ends a long battle between the music producers and residents of the east central St Andrew community, over whether the premises should continue as a music studio. The studio was originally owned by the very successful dancehall producing brothers, Dave and Tony Kelly (Mad House Records), before it was sold in 2002 to current owner, Josef Bogdanovich, an American dancehall music producer and entrepreneur.
