The date was set when the entertainer appeared before Superior Court Judge John Kelley for a status conference on Monday. “The State will retry Andrew Davis on the first-degree charge of Leader of a Narcotics Trafficking Network, the one charge on which the jury in the last trial could not reach a verdict,” said Peter Aseltine, Division of Criminal Justice press officer in New Jersey’s Attorney General Office. “He will not be sentenced on the other charges until he is tried again on the leader charge,” Aseltine continued. Andrew K. Davis, also known as “Flippa Mafia,” “Flippa Mogella” and “The Flossing King,” was found guilty in Camden County Superior Court of first-degree distribution of cocaine, money laundering and related counts. The flamboyant entertainer, whose given name is Andrew Davis, is charged with conspiracy to distribute cocaine, leading a narcotics organisation, possession with intent to distribute cocaine and money laundering. If convicted, he faces 25 years to life in prison. The entertainer pleaded “not guilty” to all charges when he appeared in court early September. A trial date of January 26 has been set.
