  Gully Bop and Shauna Chin in happier times— There seems to be trouble in the house of dancehall sensation Gully Bop and his fiancée, Shauna Chin. Earlier today, a video was released online by Chin in which she was heard crying for help. In the video, she locked herself in a car, with the deejay prowling outside, and accused him of trying to kill her. SHAUNA CHIN RELEASES A COLLABORATION WITH GULLY BOP!

 Shauna Chin—- SHAUNA Chin, manager of deejay Gully Bop, lashes out against rapists with the song Definition of No. Produced by her Bop Dem Records, the single is a collaboration with Gully Bop, Powercut and Tatik. “A lot of thought went into this song as it is a tribute to the young girl that was raped and the video uploaded on social media by her alleged rapist. DANCEHALL ARTIST TOMMY LEE SPARTA, SPLITS FROM HIS LONG-TIME MANAGER!

 SPARTA…was prevented from performing on Reggae Sumfest’s Dancehall Night in July CONTROVERSIAL dancehall artist Tommy Lee Sparta and his longtime manager Junior ‘Heavy D’ Fraser have ended their professional ties. “Heavy D Promotions no longer represents Tommy Lee Sparta. The mutual agreement has come to a close,” Heavy D told the Jamaica Observer yesterday. Although tight-lipped about reasons for the split, Heavy D admitted that the artist’s repeated brushes with the law made it difficult to represent him. Tommy Lee Sparta, whose given name is Leroy Russell, was prevented from performing on Reggae Sumfest’s Dancehall Night in July. MAN PRETENDING TO BE GULLY BOP’S MANAGER GETS 18 MONTHS IN PRISON!

 Gully Bop— A man who scammed a Canadian stage show promoter out of $300,000 by pretending to be the road manager of dancehall artist Robert ‘Gully Bop’ Malcolm was sentenced to 18 months after making restitution. Kimauly Bull, 38, a resident of Tiverton Road in Kingston, pleaded guilty to two counts of obtaining money by means of false pretence when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court in St Andrew, yesterday. Reports are that Bull, purporting to be Gully Bop’s road manager, arranged with the complainant to have Gully Bop perform at shows in Canada in June. The complainant sent CAD$1,240 and CAD $2,480, via Western Union, on March 17 and 18, respectively, as part payments for the artist to perform. DJ TIGER GIVES OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE IN FIRST OUTDOOR CONCERT IN NEW YORK CITY IN 22 YEARS!

Veteran dancehall DJ Tiger, who over the Labor Day weekend made his first outdoor festival appearance in NY since he was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident 22 years ago, proved that a cat does indeed have nine lives. The DJ was one of more than a dozen dancehall stars who performed at the successful Irie Jam Radio 22nd anniversary concert which was held at Roy Wilkins Park in NY.
