BOUNTY KILLER AND NINJAMAN REFUSE TO ATTEND STING 2016, NOT EVEN TO COLLECT AN AWARD!

By Shereita Grizzle Bounty Killer— Organizers of Sting recently announced that come next month they will be honoring several artists that have helped to make the event one of the greatest stage shows in the Caribbean. However, veteran dancehall artists Ninja Man and Bounty Killer, who have been named among those to be honored, have said that they will not be attending Sting this year, not even to collect such an award. LIVE PERFORMANCES AT REGGAE SUMFEST ARE REDUCED TO TWO NIGHTS!

BY BRIAN BONITTO—  Josef Bogdanovich—- REGGAE Sumfest’s live performances will be scaled down from three nights to two, according to Josef Bagdonovich — new chairman of Summerfest Promotions — organizers of the event. “This will help to re-energize the event,” he told the Jamaica Observer yesterday. “Sumfest is a great Jamaican brand promoting dancehall and reggae. I have a lot of respect for it, but we don’t have an international brand. What we have is a concert that brings international acts,” he said. NEW ARTIST VERSHON IS UPSET AT NOT GETTING A CHANCE AT STING 2015!

 Vershon— ONE of 2015’s rising stars, Vershon, is frustrated that Sting’s organizers failed to stick to the running order which resulted in him not making his debut on the Boxing Day show. “I am disappointed that I didn’t get a chance to perform because judging by what is being said on social media, they were looking forward to seeing me perform on Sting. POLICE PULLED THE PLUG ON STING 2015 BEFORE TOP ACTS COULD PERFORM!

 Isaiah Laing, Sting’s founder and promoter— ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – Sting has again lived up to its reputation for drama. The annual Boxing Day dancehall show ended at 6:15 am Sunday, when police halted proceedings at the Jamworld complex in Portmore, St Catherine. It ended with a number of top acts, including Beenie Man, yet to perform. Isaiah Laing, the show’s founder and promoter, could not be reached for comment. This year’s event had an ‘old school’ flavour and was dubbed ‘From Now Till Then’. “I DID NOT OFFER ALKALINE $2.5m TO PERFORM ON STING 2015” SAYS PROMOTER ISAIAH LAING!

After news began to circulate online Wednesday, Isaiah Laing, CEO of Supreme Promotions, sought to clear the air, stating that the story is a rumor. The countdown has begun for Sting, arguably one of the most anticipated annual events, and this year Supreme Promotions, the event’s organizer, is planning on a brand-new structure. Sting 2015, under the theme ‘From Then ‘Til Now’, will mark a revolution for the historic event. Three months before the event, Supreme Promotions’ Isaiah Laing, Heavy D, and DiMario McDowell tell The Sunday Gleaner that there are no sponsorship arrangements. “Nobody is on board right now,” Laing said. Previous high-profile sponsors within the last decade have included white rum brand Rumfire, Guinness, LIME, Downsound Records, and Magnum.
