By Kevin JacKson—  Jabez’s album cover.— SINCE his debut in 2004 with the album Enlarging the Boundary (produced by Gifton Smith), Jabez has steadily built a name for himself in gospel music circles. The singer’s latest set, Re-connect, has debuted at number 33 on the Billboard Reggae album chart. Released by Tads Records, Re-connect has 13 songs, one of which is a collaboration with singer Kim Alex titled It’s OK. Other tracks include Cancelled, Dwell in Your Presence, and Help Me Through the Storm. Producers on the album include Adrian Scarlett, Corey Clarke and Earth Element Music. Among the musicians are Nicholas Marks (keyboard), Brian Russell (bass guitar) and Rajiv Laird (drummer). Jabez (given name Clive Provost) is from Linstead in St Catherine.
