MYSTIC REVEALERS PUSHES FOR WEED LEGALIZATION WITH RELEASE OF NEW SINGLE!

 Mystic Revealers— HERB Must Legalise, the pro-ganja song from roots-reggae band Mystic Revealers, is scheduled for release in October. The digital launch of the song coincides with its music video, directed by Michael Cushnie. Production on the song started last year at the Grafton studio of producer Mikey Bennett. It has slots by artists including Chronixx, Kabaka Pyramid, Jesse Royal, Suzanne Couch and Canadian deejay Snow. It was initially scheduled for release this month, but that has been pushed back for completion and premier of the video which was filmed in Kingston and Bull Bay, the band’s longtime base. LUCIANO IS ADDED TO THE SIERRA NEVADA WORLD MUSIC FESTIVAL, JUNE 19-21!

   Luciano— ROOTS reggae singer Luciano is the latest Jamaican artist to be added to the 22nd annual Sierra Nevada World Music Festival set for June 19-21 at the Mendocino County Fairgrounds in Boonville, California. According to the organisers, the ‘Messenjah’ has been included in the line-up as “his voice resonates like a divinely ordained instrument possessing the power to comfort souls from all walks of life”. The three-day festival is peppered with Jamaican acts who have long been staples on this North American summer festival. Among the reggae acts listed for the opening day of the festival are UK-based Steel Pulse, veteran deejay Yellowman, singer Admiral Tibet, the band Pentateuch and rising singer Hempress Sativa. The artiste recently collaborated with street-wear brand Rockers NYC to produce a limited edition line of branded T-shirts and tank tops. The deal was made public on Saturday when the artiste, NYC Rockers, and Base Kingston teamed up to host an event at Base Kingston Manor Park Plaza address. The event was both to promote the branded line for the artist as well as to introduce NYC Rockers to Jamaicans. The entertainer told The Gleaner that the initiative came about because of a mutual understanding. “They (Rockers NYC) respect our music and what we’re doing, so it was naturally a good idea.
