GOSPEL ARTISTS CALL FOR A “NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER” FOR JAMAICA!

The call was made by a few well-known gospel artists at the recently concluded Fun in the Son event held at the National Heroes Park. GOSPEL ARTIST KEVIN DOWNSWELL TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM “ALL THE WAY” JUNE 4!

 By Simone Morgan—  Kevin Downswell— Gospel artist Kevin Downswell will release his third album, All The Way, on June 4. It comes four years after his previous set, The Search Continues. His debut album, Close To You, was released in 2008. Speaking with the Jamaica Observer, Downswell said All The Way is a reflection of his personal and spiritual journey. “It also combines various styles and genres to demonstrate my unique gospel sound,” he added. Downswell worked with different producers on the 17-track All The Way, including Barwiya Production’s Dwain ‘Wiya’ Campbell and Grammy-winning Tyshane from the United States. GOSPEL SINGER JERMAINE EDWARDS TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM “DON’T COUNT ME OUT” ON NOVEMBER 28!

 By Kevin Jackson—  Jermaine Edwards to release album— GOSPEL singer Jermaine Edwards will be releasing his fifth studio album, Don’t Count Me Out, on November 28. The 15-track effort is the follow-up to his 2012 effort Hideaway. “Don’t Count Me Out is a reminder to us not to count anybody out, because God can turn around anyone’s state. Many times, people tend to judge others when they are in situations that are frowned upon,” Edwards told the Jamaica Observer. Co-produced by Edwards and Christopher Wright, the set was mastered by Herb Powers. Fellow gospel artists Kevin Downswell, Rondell Positive, Damion Orlando and gospel trio iWorship, are featured on the album.
