WAYNE SMITH OF “UNDER MI SLENG TENG” FAME DIES FROM HEART ATTACK AT 48!
Recording artist Wayne Smith, who recorded the number one hit “Under Mi Sleng Teng” died today in Jamaica of a heart attack. Sleng Teng was the first fully computerized rhythm in Jamaican music. The rhythm was created by the collaboration between King Jammy and Wayne Smith. Producer King Jammy says he’s saddened by Wayne’s passing.
