LEGENDARY FOOTBALLER AND BROADCASTER LINDY DELAPENHA, DIES 89!

Lindbergh ‘Lindy’ Delapenha, the legendary Jamaican sportsman and television broadcaster, has died. Delapenha reportedly passed away on Thursday morning. He was 89. Former Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller is among those who have taken to social media to mourn the loss of Delapenha. “Sending condolences to the family and friends of Lloyd Lindbergh ‘Lindy’ Delapenha. Legendary Jamaican Footballer and Sportsman. We have lost a quiet giant and a trailblazer in football and sports broadcasting,” Simpson Miller wrote on Facebook. Fae Ellington, who co-hosted JBC’s morning program with Delapenha for many years, said: “So long Lindy. No more risqué jokes…sharing secrets.
