SINGER COURTNEY MELODY COMING BACK WITH NEW ALBUM AND SINGLES!

BY KEVIN JACKSON—  Courtney Melody.— In 1987, Courtney Melody scored his first hit with the song Screechie Across The Border. Written by Lt. Stitchie and produced by Clifton Henry, it was also the singer’s first single. Screechie Across The Border set the pace for a string of hits for the prolific Melody, who survived a motorcycle crash in the late 1990’s. He is back to recording after years of recuperation. “I was off the scene for a while because of the accident. I was in hospital for about a year,” he recalled. FREDDIE McGREGOR JOINS THE DECEMBER 4, “ENTERTAINERS AGAINST CRIME & VIOLENCE” CONCERT!

BOUNTY KILLER AND NINJAMAN REFUSE TO ATTEND STING 2016, NOT EVEN TO COLLECT AN AWARD!

By Shereita Grizzle Bounty Killer— Organizers of Sting recently announced that come next month they will be honoring several artists that have helped to make the event one of the greatest stage shows in the Caribbean. However, veteran dancehall artists Ninja Man and Bounty Killer, who have been named among those to be honored, have said that they will not be attending Sting this year, not even to collect such an award. IT’S A NON-STOP SUMMER FOR PASTOR (LT.) STITCHIE!

 Stitchie— ON Friday, Stitchie will suit up for his headline appearance at ‘3 In 1’, a show scheduled for Cookies Sports Bar and Restaurant in Portmore. It is the the veteran toaster’s latest secular gig. He says fans can expect a mix of gospel and the dancehall songs that made him a star in the 1980’s and 1990’s before his conversion to Christianity. “If I am the light of the world, wherever God sends me I will go,” Stitchie told the Jamaica Observer. MARION HALL FORMERLY LADY SAW, IS STILL “SWEETLY SAVED!”

Marion Hall— “I was once one of those sheep that was lost. But the Lord took time out to search for me, to seek me and now he found me and I’m apart of that flock right now,” said Marion Hall. LT. STITCHIE’S “NUH TEK NUH TALK” GETTING HEAVY ROTATION IN THE NEW YORK TRI STATE AREA!

New York based record label, Hit Matic Records, is responsible for one of Lt. Stitchie’s latest hits, “Nuh Tek Nuh Talk.”  Label owner, Oniel Clarke, has recently released the Bumpa Shake Riddim which features new music from Lady Saw, D’Angel, Lady Ali, Lt. Stitchie and a few others. Though all songs on the project are getting good rotation, selectors, particularly in the New York tri-state area, seem to be gravitating to “Nuh Tek Nuh Talk” by Lt. Stitchie. The track is now getting heavy rotation both on air and in the streets. LONDON-BASED REGGAE GROUP 3-IN-1, HUNTS BIG BREAK IN JAMAICA!

 3-in-1— London-based sibling group 3-in-1 are ready to make a mark in Jamaica. Brothers Desmond, Patrick and Fitzroy Johnson are currently promoting their latest single, the self-produced Too Nasty.
