SINGING MELODY AND WIFE RUBY, TO STAR IN NEW TV REALITY SHOW “THE HARDWEARES!”

 By Richard Johnson—  Singing Melody and his wife, Ruby Robinson, stars of The Hardweares. COME November 21, the television landscape will see the addition of new reality show — The Hardweares. The show is centered around the lives of recording artist Singing Melody (given name Everton Hardweare) and his wife Ruby Robinson. The couple is assuring viewers that The Hardweares will be nothing like the “cheesy, raunchy” reality TV shows. “I will not be following him to women’s houses; there will be no fighting and hair-pulling,” Robinson told the Sunday Observer. TAD’S RECORDS RELEASES NEW SERIES “REGGAE COVER JAMMZ VOL.1!”

 LUST—- REGGAE Cover Jammz Vol 1, a new compilation series from Tad’s International Record, was launched last week. The first in the collection has 14 songs. Tad Dawkins, the company’s principal, describes them as ‘personal favourites’. “We are taking the opportunity to expand the Tad’s brand catalogue with the Reggae Cover Jammz series through 10 over the next 10 years,” he said. As its title suggests, ‘Cover Jammz’ are dancehall/reggae renditions of popular songs originally done by pop acts. Some, like LUST’s take on Air Supply’s Just as I Am, were big hits in Jamaica and on regional charts in the United States. REGGAE SUMFEST 2015 DECLARED A SUCCESS!

However, they are keeping them under wraps for the time being. Robert Russell, chairman of Summerfest Productions, mentioned that in reviewing the past week of events which culminated early Sunday morning, they will have to do things somewhat differently in the future, but declined to elaborate. That aside, Russell is hailing the 2015 staging of the 23-year-old event a success. “It has been a great festival. We started out on Sunday with the beach party and that was our best beach party. GROOVIN’ IN THE PARK WITH MARCIA GRIFFITHS AND FRIENDS!

  Marcia Griffiths & Ken Boothe “Groovin’ In The Park”   Thirty-five years after they performed with Bob Marley at Madison Square Garden, Marcia Griffiths and Judy Mowatt returned to New York City and gave a stellar performance at Sunday’s Groovin’ In The Park show in Queens. Mowatt performed in the Marcia Griffiths and Friends segment which also featured Bob Andy, Ken Boothe and Tony Gregory. It celebrated Griffiths’ 50th year in the music business.
