   Chris Blackwell— Legendary music producer Chris Blackwell, who is credited with introducing The Wailers — Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer — to the international market, is set to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Jamaica Reggae Industry Association (JaRIA) at its honour awards ceremony set for February 26 at the Courtleigh Auditorium in New Kingston. This event, will be used to wrap up a month-long series of activities in observance of Reggae Month. The British-born Blackwell, who established Island Records in 1959, was among the first to record the Jamaican popular music that eventually became known as ska. ROOTS SINGER CHRONIXX AND MYSTIC REVEALERS TEAM UP FOR SINGLE “HERB MUST LEGALIZE!”

The song is co-produced by Mystic Revealers and Mikey Bennett. It was co-written by the latter and Mystic Revealers lead singer/guitarist Billy Wilmot. “Dis is something wi calling for a long time. By Howard Campbell— Mr. Easy THERE was no hotter jam in the summer of 1997 than producer Dave Kelly’s Joyride. One of the artists who helped make it a dance favourite was singer Mr. Easy. His Funny Man (Strange Things) was one of the hits that rode the Joyride which appeared on Kelly’s prolific Mad House label. Mr. Easy returns for another crack at the charts, and insists he is up to the task. “As an artist yuh always have to reinvent yuhself an’ keep trying and keep working.
