Mr Vegas stunned the music world late last year with the announcement of his conversion to Christianity, just weeks after the release of his much-anticipated album This Is Dancehall, which was recently listed by Billboard magazine as one of the Top 10 Reggae albums of 2016. MR. VEGAS IS WORKING ON HIS DEBUT GOSPEL ALBUM “I AM BLESSED!”

 Mr Vegas— Singjay Mr Vegas is currently selecting tracks for his debut gospel album I Am Blessed. “We have a lot to choose from but we are not going to crowd it. This will be my first gospel album and it will feature different genres of music. It will be appealing to all crowds and will be able to be played in dance sessions, just like the single I Am Blessed,” he said. NOMINATIONS ARE OPEN FOR THE MOBO (MUSIC OF BLACK ORIGIN) AWARDS!

By Richard Johnson—-  Sean Paul—-  Nominations are open for the Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards, which recognizes artists of any ethnicity or nationality performing black music, and will be presented in Glasgow, Scotland, on November 4. Of particular interest to local artists is the Best Reggae Act category. To be considered for nomination, the artist must have released a single, album or mixtape between August 29 last year and August 31 this year. According to MOBO organizers, any music released after this period will be considered for next year’s awards. The nominations will be reviewed by a panel and a shortlist of five nominees submitted to a group of more than 100 industry insiders for final votes. KINGSTON’S FAME-FM WILL NOT BAN MR. VEGAS FOR SLAMMING THE STATION AND ITS STAFF!

Mr Vegas— Francois St Juste, general manager of Radio Services of RJR, has shrugged off suggestions that dancehall artist Mr Vegas be banned from the airways of Fame FM. “There’s nothing the station will do against him or anything. Everything will continue as usual,” St Juste told THE STAR yesterday. His comments came against a whirlwind of criticisms aimed at Mr.Vegas who slammed FAME reporter Janice Young over a question she posed to him during an interview on Monday.
