Ras Penco—  JAMAICAN-born, Canada-based, emerging reggae singer Ras Penco is promoting his latest single First Child. “The song is about the joy I’m experiencing with the birth of my first child,” he told the Jamaica Observer yesterday. “My songs are about real life situations, especially in my life. My music is a music of solution and positive messages.” First child was released in July on the Italian label Greezzly Production. According to Ras Penco, the song is getting its fair share of airtime in Canada. “It’s going good in Canada. I’ve been following its progress on social media and it’s doing well in Europe and in Jamaica,” said the 31 year old.
