JACK RADICS MOTHER’S DAY SHOW IN SOUTH FLORIDA POSTPONED!

Jack Radics’ Caribbean Style Mother’s Day Show, which was due to be held at the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center, (Lauderhill PAC) on Saturday May 7 has been postponed. Show Producer and President of Radics’ Sound Faculty Label, Michelle Knight Stanley has stated that the postponement is due to logistic and technical issues. “We have determined that several logistic and technical issues involved in mounting the show at this time would result in a production that could  fall short of our  usual high standards, and in light of this we have elected to postpone the show until  a later date. INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC GETS A SHOT IN THE ARM WITH TWO RECENT RELEASES!

Instrumental music has always been an integral part of the Jamaican musical landscape. Don Drummond, Tommy McCook, Roland Alphanso, Jackie Mittoo, Augustus Pablo, Im & Dave, Dave & Ansel Collins, Willie Lindo Dean Fraser, Rico Rodriquez and Lynn Taitt, to name a few,  have all made significant contributions to this art form. Sadly those days are gone, partly because instrumentalists are not as prominent as in the past. Sons of Mystro, and Latty Guzang are hoping to change that.
