Reggae-rock band Soul Rebel— SOUL Rebel, a reggae-rock band out of Boston, drops Higher Place, their latest album, September 23 on compact disc. The set was released digitally July 20 and debuted at number eight on Billboard’s Reggae Album Chart. Higher Place will be distributed by the VP Associated Label Group, a subsidiary of VP Records. Soul Rebel is among a wave of American bands who have emerged in the last decade. Rebelution, SOJA and Groundation are some of the best known. Soul Rebel comprises singer-songwriter and rhythm guitarist Mike Francis Jr, Jay Harris (lead guitar), Adam Saylor (bass) and Geoff Pilkington (drums).
