CANADA’S TASHA T RELEASES NEW SINGLE “BEAUTIFUL WORLD!”

Tasha T—  International recording artist Tasha T recently released a new single, ‘Beautiful World’. The vivacious Rastafarian singjay, who won multiple awards in Canada last year with her album, Real Talk. She described her latest release as a roots-reggae record that is reminiscent of old-school reggae style. “This song has a different vibe, the live instrumentation of the rhythm gives it that original Roots Reggae sound. It’s a song that is easy to relate to because it has a very inspirational message. Wouldn’t it be nice if we’re all living in a beautiful world, free from sorrows and pain, a place where we could all live in love and unity, regardless of race, colour or creed?,” she asked. TASHA T GETS HER SECOND JUNO AWARD NOMINATION!

 By Kevin Jackson—  TASHA T… I am deeply humbled and blessed to be nominated—- SHE is the sole female nominated in the Best Reggae Recording category of this year’s Juno Awards, but Tasha T certainly is not there to make up numbers. Her album, Real Talk, is nominated alongside recordings from Steele, Mikey Dangerous, Kirk Diamond and three-time winner Exco Levi. This is Tasha T’s second Juno nomination. The singer was previously called in 2000 for the single Dem Need More Love. “I am deeply humbled and blessed to be nominated. EXCO LEVI GOES FOR HIS FOURTH JUNO AWARD MARCH 15!

By Kevin Jackson—  Exco Levi—- THREE-TIME winner Exco Levi, deejay Kirk Diamond, singjay Mikey Dangerous, singer Steele and deejay Tasha T are the nominees in the Best Reggae Recording of the Year category, for the 2015 Juno Awards. The Juno is Canada’s equivalent of the Grammy Awards in the United States. Toronto-based Exco Levi is originally from Manchester. Born Wayne Ford Levi, he won in 2012 and repeated the feat in 2013 and 2014. This year, he is nominated for the song Welcome the King. This is Diamond’s first Juno nod. The Saskatchewan deejay earned a nomination for Love Inna We Heart which has been number one for the past seven weeks on the Rebel Vibez Canadian Reggae Chart. “This is my first Juno nomination and it feels great. GROOVIN’ IN THE PARK WITH MARCIA GRIFFITHS AND FRIENDS!

  Marcia Griffiths & Ken Boothe “Groovin’ In The Park”   Thirty-five years after they performed with Bob Marley at Madison Square Garden, Marcia Griffiths and Judy Mowatt returned to New York City and gave a stellar performance at Sunday’s Groovin’ In The Park show in Queens. Mowatt performed in the Marcia Griffiths and Friends segment which also featured Bob Andy, Ken Boothe and Tony Gregory. It celebrated Griffiths’ 50th year in the music business.
