According to Senior Superintendent Marlon Nesbeth, who is in charge of the St James Police division, the entertainer is named as a person of interest in the ongoing violence in sections of Flankers in the parish. “According to information that we received, Leroy Russell (Tommy Lee Sparta’s given name) has influenced the violence in Flankers, namely Central Avenue, and is quite integral with his involvement on these matters. THE GOVERNMENT OF DOMINICA FACES A US$3m LAWSUIT FOR THE DEPORTATION OF DANCEHALL ARTIST TOMMY LEE SPARTA!

  Tommy Lee Sparta— The Government of Dominica is now being sued following the 2014 detention of dancehall artist Tommy Lee Sparta in that country. Promoter Cabral Douglas filed the lawsuits in the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) recently due to the cancellation of a concert, which he said was caused by the “unlawful arrest, detention and deportation of Jamaican artist Tommy Lee Sparta and his entourage without cause”. Douglas, who is the son of former prime minister  Rosie Douglas, had contracted with Heavy D Promotions Limited for Tommy Lee Sparta to perform at his privately owned entertainment venue in Dominica to mark the opening of Portsmouth carnival. “The lawsuit has been filed for breaches under the Revised Treaty of Chagaramus,” Douglas told THE STAR. DANCEHALL ARTIST TOMMY LEE SPARTA, IS WANTED BY THE POLICE!

By Kimberley Small— Tommy Lee Sparta— Detectives in the Kingston Eastern Division have listed the consistently controversial dancehall artist Tommy Lee Sparta, real name Leroy Russell, as a person of interest. Russell is wanted for questioning in relation to a shooting on Saunders Avenue, Kingston 2, and is being asked to report to the Elletson Road Police Station at 16 Elletson Road, Kingston 16, on or before Monday. According to the artist’s management, Tommy Lee Sparta has been busy preparing for an upcoming tour in October and November, and therefore would have no time for nefarious activities. “The only thing the lawyer told us to tell you is that this is a lie. POLICE STOPPED EMBATTLED DJ TOMMY LEE SPARTA FROM PERFORMING AT REGGAE SUMFEST!
