SADIKI & TWIGGI’s “WITH YOU I’M BORN AGAIN” TOPS THE SOUTH FLORIDA CHART!

 Top: Twiggi Bottom: Sadaki.– With You I’m Born Again, a ballad by singers Sadiki and Twiggi, is number one for the second straight week on the South Florida Reggae Chart. The song was released late last year, and is from Sadiki’s Covered In Love album. Sadiki (real name Henry Buckley Jr), who produced the song and album for his Skinny Bwoy Records, expected it to do well. “It’s not surprising to me at all. Everyone involved in the recording gave 150 per cent effort. I’m appreciative of the fact that the disc jockeys are supporting it and exposing it to the people,” he said. SADIKI AND TWIGGI ADD THEIR TOUCH TO THE CLASSIC “WITH YOU I’M BORN AGAIN!”

 Sadiki and Twiggi— Singers Sadiki and Twiggi put a reggae feel to the classic duet, With You I Am Born Again, originally done in 1979 by Billy Preston and Syreeta Wright. The song is the latest release from Sadiki’s album Covered In Love, which came out in April. His and Twiggi’s version of With You I’m Born Again was released on Monday. With You I’m Born Again has always been a favorite. When Twiggi and I recorded the song, our expectation was that it would affect people in a positive way. TWIGGI YEARNS JAMAICAN CHART ACTION WITH NEW SINGLE “OLD TIME LOVE!”

   Twiggi— VETERAN singer Twiggi has enjoyed some success in South Florida in recent times with songs like Kiss Me One More Time and The Power of Love. However, she yearns for a return to Jamaican charts. She is hoping to do that with Old Time Love, her latest song, produced by Fort Lauderdale’s Natty Power Records. “In general, it is very tough getting hits from overseas as most of the attention and push is centered on the ‘works’ coming straight out of Jamaica, but it also depends on the producers’ commitment to the project and how far they are willing to take it,” she told the Jamaica Observer.
