Since his return last year to Nigeria to organise a concert, the one-time leading reggae icon Victor Essiet has traipsed from one trouble to another. When he returned from the USA in 2014 to stage the mother of all music festivals in Nigeria, Africa Meets Reggae on November 29, he was arrested right inside the venue for the mega show by armed and uniformed men whom he later identified to be men of the Nigeria Police. Popular musician, Victor Essiet of the Mandators Fame was arrested early this morning in Nsit Ubium Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State by the police and has been flown to Lagos State. This information is contrary to the report by the Vanguard Newspaper that he was kidnapped. Victor Essiet—- A report now suggest that Victor Essiet of Mandators Fame was Kidnapped in Nsit Ubiom area of Akwa Ibom state. ExpressNG gathered that the incident happened at about 3am Saturday morning while he was returning to Uyo from the wake-keep of his late elder brother, Tony Essiet.
