VETERAN MUSICIAN LLOYD PARKES PRESENTS A BASS GUITAR TO KINGSTON’S PEMBROKE HALL HIGH SCHOOL!

WINNERS of the inaugural Jamaica Best School Band (JBSB) Competition, Pembroke Hall High School, are the recipients of a new bass guitar from veteran bassist Lloyd Parkes. The presentation was made recently at the school’s Kingston location. Parkes, who started the We The People Band in 1974, was one of the competition’s judges. He urged the school band to keep practising and be disciplined. The 16-member Positive Vibrations (name of the Pembroke Hall band) won the JBSB competition in May at the Countryside Club.
